This group seeks to bring together people who like to talk about Theosophy, in the broad sense of the search for wisdom, insight, and understanding. Sponsored by the Northwest Branch of the Theosophical Society, it hosts an informal discussion one Thursday a month at the Bellevue Regional Library, 7:30 - 8:45 pm. Each month we have a different topic to focus the discussion around. It is a friendly exchange of ideas among seekers, so the main guideline is being respectful of others' views.
On July 10 we will discuss "Understanding, Tolerance, Respect" and on August 14 the subject will be "Ancient Monuments and Mysteries," both in meeting room #3 on the first floor (for more information, check local announcements and newsletter at www.theosophy-nw.org).
The Theosophical Society is a worldwide association dedicated to the practical realization of universal brotherhood, to independent spiritual search, and to exploration of ancient and modern religion, philosophy, and science.
All are welcome -- come and share your ideas! Meetings are unsectarian and non-political; the only subject off limits is politics.
This month we'll be discussing such questions as: How old is human culture? What do we know about Stonehenge, Easter Island, and the many pyramids, temples, mounds, geoglyphs, and other structures found worldwide, and about the aims and technology of their builders? How are they connected with astronomy and other sciences, and with religion? Are they relevant to us today? Read more
